This isn’t a classroom  - It’s a working studio and you will be stepping right into it with me.   We are conveniently located just off St John's Road in Tunbridge Wells

 

Nor is this a large group experience - I only have the one wheel — it’s a hands-on experience for an individual or couple who are keen to get hands on and muddy.  

 

You’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing

• How to prepare and wedge clay

• Centre clay on the wheel

• Pulling up the walls

• Shaping your form be that a bowl, mug or something straight out of your imagination 

• The importance of having a giggle throughout

 

You can then come back to trim and glaze your own piece OR leave that bit with me.  Either way its not about perfection, its about the experience.  You will come away with clay on yours hands (and maybe your heart) a better understanding of the making process and a pot or two to remind you of the experience
